Some pretty cool ideas in this city electric scooter...

wheels are cool...and the battery as floor board that you can take with you to charge in your home or apt would be great for city folks without garages...

The backpack idea is a bit cutesy for me...could love instead for the battery to be both the floor and the backpack...more range, slightly higher speed (I like a top speed of 60 for city riding on my smaller scooters), but still pop out the battery and drag behind like carry-on baggage...

Ok....much nicer city scooter...tougher looking...kinda ruckus looking.

Brammo make this...except use your Classic Enertia pack as the swappable pack...would likely be close to a 50 mile range on a ride this size and weight...make it 40-45 mph top speed and you are going after the ruckus/zuma crowd....college student, short riders, first time riders etc

or is the 3kWh enertia pack is too big....a 2kWh would be fine...and people can buy a second pack for making it swappable.

They're saying a 16 lb pack is 1.1 kWh, that's 150 Wh/kg .. pretty good. Good for maybe 50 miles on a electric-pedal hybrid bike, or 30 miles on a small 25 mph scooter.

A 3.1 kWh pack of the same stuff would weigh 45 pounds. Maybe they'd be better off letting you plug in a certain number, say 4, of the 16 lb packs. "Just grab however much range you need and stick it in the bike, drop it off at the nearest charging station when you're done!"
