This just in on Wired.com.
For those of you who don't know, PlugShare is a nifty app which lets it's users share their plug points with others in the EV community.
The app shows the kind of power points available around you on a map and you can get in touch with the people sharing them to set up a time to use them.
It's a novel idea, lets see where it goes...
Personally, I think starbucks, or grocery stations should start putting out charging stations outside their premises...
In a few years (one can hope), it's going to be like the WiFi revolution, where mom and pop stores were offering free WiFi to get customers to come in...

What I want to know is; what are those people going to do for 4 hours while they are waiting to charge up? Hang out on my lawn? Watch my TV? Take a snooze on my sofa? Perhaps if there was something besides suburbia outside my house, dropping their car off while they did something else would make more sense.

I already downloaded this app to my phone and I decided not to put my info on there to share because exactly the reason mentioned above. Who's coming by and where are they gonna hang and for how long? However the app would be great to find a "charging point". Here is a link to my local news channel about EV charging coming available. Hopefully more will follow and downloaded to the app.

Well, you could set up a bench on your front lawn and go racing while you wait for the EV to recharge.   ;D
