Brammo Production Gets Underway.....
« on: June 28, 2011, 09:16:53 AM »
In Europe  :-\

I just saw the first few words of the title in my inbox and got really excited that maybe the Empulse was ahead of schedule, or possibly the Plus guys would get lucky.  I assume this announcement has very little effect on us USAers. Darn

Oh well, I hope the Europeans have fun with them and buy a whole bunch so Brammo gets a boost in funds and confidence and ups production of all products
(somewhat)Patiently waiting

mmmm, no email yet...but i will keep checking :)

all i can say is "darn it"... and "good for Brammo and europe"

darn it as I want mine now :)

good for Brammo and Europe as the Powercycles should do well in Europe, most likely much better than here. Get a bunch of Pluses to Holland and England and France and Spain ASAP...plus Europe is close enough to sell some in Asia too (though Hong Kong alone might need it's own factory...the Plus should absolutely kill in Hong Kong...and hopefully Beijing).

Hopefully this is a win win news situation...that progress is going fine in the US and as an added bonus things are going fine in Europe too.

I do agree with some here that Brammo needs to GO GO GO and get bikes on the road....BMW and Honda and others will not wait forever....and I would hate to see Brammo "do an Aptera"....have a great product that never gets into customer hands.

ah, not an email.....

i was wondering...i usually get Brammo emails very fast...

Gavin

edit:

Quote
The newest Brammo production line is capable of producing 660 motorcycles a month and will initially produce the Brammo Enertia and Enertia Plus for North American, European and Asian customers.

so our bikes might come from Hungary? I don't have a problem with that, except i would love to limit shipping and such...having the bikes built in the states was a plus for me...American jobs is good...less travel of the bike is good...i thought Europe production was for Europe and Asia production was for Asia and American production was for America? any word on this??

mmm, one plus (pun mildly intended)....

if production is started and they make 660 bikes a month...well my Plus is number 19? so mine should be done today :)

how long to ship from Hungary to the states? and will number 19 really be mine or will the first so many be made for these new dealerships?

everyday more info and more questions....they seem to go hand in hand.

Very, Very exciting news. Gavin, did Brammo send your 3 month notice yet? The say they are filling orders and production is underway... not sure why you would have to wait much longer.

perhaps coincidental, but Brammo Enertia just facebook "friended" me today....

not sure how long ago I "liked" them on facebook, but has been a while...so they are either catching up on old facebook stuff OR Brammo is putting together a bit of a push this week on communication...

perhaps related to production starting?? hopefully.....keeping an eye on my email.

Just got this:
Dear Harry,

I am delighted to announce that production of the Enertia and Enertia Plus is now underway at our facility in Sarvar, Hungary. The following press release was issued by Brammo this morning. I am expecting the first US specification Enertia Plus motorcycles to arrive in the USA by September and customer deliveries through our growing dealer network to commence sometime after that. I will keep you updated on our progress on a regular basis. Thank you for choosing Brammo and for your patience which is greatly appreciated.

The Brammo Race Team will be at Laguna Seca on July 22nd 23rd and 24th. If you are attending the Moto GP event please do come and say hello either at our marketing tent near Ducati Island or at the Race Team in the paddock, we would be pleased to see you.

Kind regards

Got the same letter...

Good news, my birthday is in Sept so I can call the Plus a present for myself.

Not as good, but not awful: 1) Bikes are made out of country. Not horrid, but I would have loved to be a bit more green and a bit more local...that's a lot of travel for my bike. 2) Now I just have to wonder about dealers locally...none yet. If none by Sept I wonder what will happen to my order?

Time shall tell...but it is so hard to be patient :)

Gavin

Subassemblies will likely be produced all over the world. The stated intention was for final assembly to be done near the point of sale - obviously if US bikes are being assembled in Hungary they're still spinning that up!
