Last Sunday was the first National Plug In Day which was sponsored by Plug In America and the Sierra Club. There were EV events with a parade in several cities.
In Santa Monica we had a huge event in front of City Hall and after a parade down Main Street. We had what we believe to be the largest assembly of registered EV's (full cars and truck, not the Neighborhood Electric Vehicles which can only go up to 25 mph, although two did sneak in) ever to assemble.
We had 188 electrics not counting the NEVs. 13 were motor cycles. 2 Vectrixs, 2 Brammos and the rest Zeros. The majority of the cars were Nissan Leafs with 107 of them followed by a much smaller number of Volts and then Teslas and a few others.
