Brammo at Long Beach Motorcycle Show

On Friday 9th December the International Motorcycle Show rolls into Long Beach, California for what promises to be an amazing weekend.

Brammo will be there in full force come and see the Enertia, Empulse, Engage and Encite up close.

The 2011TTXGP Championship winning race bike the Brammo Empulse RR will be there, as will Steve Atlas our Championship winning rider- and the Brammo umbrella girls!

I think it's "Press Only" day.  Just saw this in the LA Times:

This year's Long Beach show will mark the North American debuts of several groundbreaking products, including two new scooters from BMW, a trio of electric motorcycles from Brammo, Ducati's most powerful Panigale superbike, Triumph's newest Tiger and a not-yet-revealed cruiser from Victory Motorcycles.

and later in the article, this:

"Motorcycle sales are not going to grow much faster than GDP, but when you bring the right product to market, there will always be plenty of people to buy motorcycles," said Scott Wine, chief executive of Minnesota-based Polaris, which owns Victory Motorcycles and has been on a minor spending spree on other brands.

This year, it bought Indian Motorcycles and invested in Oregon-based electric motorcycle maker Brammo. Models from all three brands will be on display this weekend, including a world-debut Victory cruiser, the 2012 Indian lineup and the soon-to-be-released Empulse, Encite and Engage bikes from Brammo. Victory is the only manufacturer to unveil an entirely new model at the Long Beach show.

Despite industry woes, Wine said, "California is still a great motorcycle market."

Someone posted a video of several of the bikes from the Long Beach show last weekend:

It appears that the Brammo website is out of date, since the specs in the Long Beach video (@ 1m55s) say:

• Price: $13,995
• Top Speed: 100+ mph
• Range: 100+ Miles
• Weight: 420 lbs
• Rechange: 8 Hours

While the website (for the Empules 10.0) says:

• Price: $13,995
• Top Speed: 100+ mph
• Range: 100+ Miles
• Weight: 420 lbs
• Rechange: Approximately 10 Hours

The Long Beach display only appears to offer one version (presumably the 10.0), but that's not news around here.
What is news is that the estimated charge time is 2 hours less.

And by the way, kudos to the camera operator. I have no idea what he's using, but the panning motion is very smooth, and there isn't even a hint of camera shake. Nice job!

well I think it is just using image stabilization...what is interesting is:

1) at the beginning the headlight housing is doing some crazy shimmer effect...likely from the image stabilization.

2) unintentional I'm sure, but he does focus on the model's bosom for like 5 seconds straight.
