Honda RC-E article
« on: December 06, 2011, 06:40:27 PM »
So why did I post this here?  Check out the last paragraph of the article:

I guess I should visit the Brammo web site more often.

If is the video they're talking about, it was uploaded back in July of 2010.

Sadly the only kind of link they know how to do is the Vibrant ad markup bullshit.

As far as I know, that is the only video of the Brammo Empulse.

It was the "2012 Empulse" comment that got my attention. I thought the older video referred to what I would call the "2011 Empulse". In my mind I was thinking that the 2011 model was the direct-drive version and that the 2012 model would be the 6-speed version. I was kind of hoping that the internet "press" might know more about what is going on than I do. But I guess not.   :(

I have to say that I was pretty disappointed about the quality of this article, in general.  Besides the Brammo mis-info, there was this:
Quote
That’s not to say the racing hasn’t been interesting in the FIM e-Power championship, the TTXGP, or at the Isle of Man’s TT Zero … it’s just that Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo, and Valentino Rossi aren’t riding electric bikes and the major motorcycle manufacturers haven’t produced models -- yet.

Ummm, I wonder if the author has ever heard of Michael Rutter, who rode the Czysz bike on the IOM.  He may not be riding in the MotoGP but come on... guy must have cast iron cajones to ride at MotoGP speeds just inches away from ancient stone walls.
