Scottoiler eSystem - electronic chain oiler



Brammo, please include this as an option for those of us who put miles on motorcyles.

It is a factory option for BMW, so why not Brammo??? ;)

"Turns on with engine vibration" might be tough : ) But I'm sure a workaround can be made.

All this so you don't have to bring chain grease with you when you are riding across the country?   ::)

Those oilers are messy if you are primarily driving in town.  They are really only practical if you ride on a dirt road regularly and need the oil to keep the dirt off the chain.

What I'm not so sure there's a workaround for is the fact that it's actuated by engine vacuum. Electric motors just don't suck ;D

Power brakes in cars also rely upon engine vacuum. Just like diesel cars or electric cars, you would need a separate vacuum pump.

Here is a review of the latest Scott Oiler California EPA  ??? approved system.  It looks to me that it functions using the bike's vacuum system:
