This is an undocumented feature that exists if you happen to deplete the battery juice so much that the pre-charge is unable to function. If you take the top body panel off, there is an LED near the fork, visible from above, that should be glowing green. If it is glowing red, it needs to be reset. The button (and I'm not sure if the button is next to the LED or if it IS the LED) should be held until the LED turns from red to green. It may take several minutes.
