Probably some combination of the following:
a) Price is purely nominal, no released specs, no release date, don't even know if they'll really make it a product.
b) It may have higher-end/pricier components, similar to what most people upgrade for competition.
c) Planning for a low-volume/high-price launch like Enertia ($12k), then drop price down (Enertia dropped to $8k) once the manufacturing kinks are worked out and/or to spike interest.
I'm amazed Brammo even announced a price for the bike, given that we know almost nothing else.
