So, after a week of driving my Enertia+ my thoughts.
« on: January 12, 2013, 03:44:42 PM »
Things I like

No more cold engine fuzz
No more clutch and gearbox
Nice easy driving.
Nice and strong front brake

Things I'm a little confused about and other minor things

I keep adjusting the mirrors but doesn’t seems to find “the correct” position.
In the Owner’s Manual, on the photo of the instrumental cluster, the numbers of the mode button and the trip button are switched.
You need to remove the seat to charge.
I would like the seat a little lower. and a little softer.
Charging is slow. Only 4,25 A. A normal household socket can have max 16A. Is there a option for a faster (external) charger ?
The kickstand is in a other position then I’m use to be.
The power connector on the charging cord is straight. You need to push real hard to close the charge-door at a charge-point.

Things I don’t like

When charging the parking lights are on. Can I do anything to keep those lights out ?
When charging you can reset the trip odometer and the clock.

These two things keep me from charging in the wild unattended…

What about a replacement cable like this?

Doesn't say what AWG it is, but rated for 15A should be fine @ < 5A draw.

Yes, 5A should do, I measured about 900W maximum power at the plug

It has a right angle bend at the wall socket side. It might work better when the EVSE charge door is closed, if it is designed to accommodate a vertical cable feed.

Yep, thats the one. For the moment I'm using a self made extension cable...

Taking the seat off for every charge is a drag.  I leave the plug end of the charging cord hanging out from under the back of the seat, there's a space there that accomodates doing that.  Makes life much easier, especially on the older Enertia, which I'm charging at least once daily.

I take it the Plus has better mirrors than the Enertia.  I put on bar ends and am happy with that.
