40 miles might be for highway runs with speeds above 80 mph. Or in below freezing temps with a headwind!

40 miles is realistically what I see at speeds around 75 (which is normal highway flow around here).

I agree.  I get around 40-60

Do either of you run with a windshield? My measured 60 miles was with a screen. To me, the difference in 40 mi range and 60 is significant. Mine was a very steady 75 for measurement purposes. In normal highway riding, there would likely be more accelerations and decelerations which would eat into the range.

I am still in break in mode. 495 miles.  I travel main lay at 65-75 for a brief 10 miles and the rest is around town at 40-45
