For those in the U.S., my quick Google search turned up this as the best price of $444:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MFVI8UG/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687542&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00MFVI92S&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=14795MXTCE5SF6AVQFCS

They also make an outdoor-rated model for more money.

I like the idea of a built-in timer to take advantage of the Time-Of-Use rates that many utilities offer to shift load to the night-time hours.

The closest to that price I've found is slightly more at $469:

https://www.clippercreek.com/store/product/charging-station-lcs-25-level-2/

And it's a 20 amp unit, vs. the 30 amps of the Siemens. Our bikes can't use the extra capacity, but if an E-car is in your future, the extra amps would seem to be a good choice, as it can charge at 7.2 kW, more than the Leaf's current 6.6 kW. The Clipper Creek unit comes with a 25 ft. cord, vs. 14 ft. for the Siemens, if that makes a difference in your setup.

Currently (no pun), I use a mechanical timing switch on my Clipper Creek, or I'd jump on this one. Siemens certainly has a long history in the power industry.

I received this link from ChargePoint regarding their brand new home chargers. They have a deal going now where they will also supply a free home charger when you purchase a set of SunEdition solar panels.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to know if this is a good solution or not. Hopefully someone can weigh in on the viability of ChargePoint chargers on our Empulse'.
