Blown fuse or worse?
« on: March 24, 2016, 06:52:45 PM »
So I was wiring up a LED strip brake light. And when I was testing which wire was running and which was brake I accidently touched the ground to the running tail light wire. Bike shut off and came back on with an error and taillight no longer working. So I turned it off and back on and the error was gone. So I figured I just blew a fuse no big deal. Looked up where the fuse box was in the manual and noticed that the brake and the horn were the same fuse. So I checked the horn and it still worked. Haven't took off took off the body panel yet to check the fuses but I'm a bit worried at this point. Thoughts?

Ok so it was the running lights fuse that blew. Swapped a fuse in to test it and brake light works so Just gotta pick up a 5A fuse tomorrow. That scared me for a moment there lol. Also something interesting coming from me soon involving that LED tail light once I get some pictures.
