Does the speed of the "sound/vibration" change based on gear ratio? If the problem is on the primary side (motor, primary reduction, clutch basket, etc.) then the frequency of the noise would be higher at any given road speed in a lower gear. If the problem is in the transmission output or final drive, the frequency of the noise would be the same at any given road speed but the drag caused by the motor in lower gears could make the problem more pronounced. Not much help but maybe you could then determine what part of the driveline is causing the issue.
