Error codes and Dead Bike
« on: October 13, 2019, 08:31:56 PM »
So it looks like I've joined the B55/B40 club. Started to go for a ride and notice the B55 fault code. SOC was at 74%, Hi pack at 4,18V, LO at 3.85V. hooked charger and it shut down showing 0 amps.

I left it on the charger and after a few hours noticed the headlight coming on about every minute and all the green motor efficiency LED lights flashing when it did, So I wnet and checked it. Hi pack at 4.184 and Lo at 4,084 and 93% charged. But I now have a B40 code (BMS in Idle Mode) and the bike will no longer start. It will no longer increase in SOC either. I'm assuming a cell is dead.

I found these 5 screens that might help diagnose. Any ideas? FYI it rained the night before and got cold. The bike was covered but outside. Don't think that's the cause but going to check fuses, etc.

Thanks

I too have just joined the B40 club. Has anyone replaced dead cells? Where can you find/purchase them?

It would be nice is folks would provide model and year with their posts....  Might make things easier.... Also, if you are talking Victory Empulse TT 2016 your battery is still under warrantee AND Polaris has given several people their purchase price back towards a new Indian product....  Pretty sweet deal actually....

Victory warranty is 5 years or 100,000 miles BTW.  If you have a Brammo you have a totally different battery also.  You have 7 modules where the Victory has only 2.

Polaris did right by me. They are not repairing these bikes but they will "replace and/or reacquire" them. Contact your dealer and Polaris. They contacted me back in less than 48 hours
