Elcon HK-J 3300KW charger

I contacted Elcon TC to get a pre-programmed charger for the Empulse and they got back to me requesting for the following information:

Please confirm that is your batteries system are LiFePo4, Lithium ion or lead acid batteries?

1)How many cells in series of your batteries system?

Can any of you guys help me out with this info?
Also anyone tried these chargers with the Empulse (Victory or Brammo)?

A 3300 Kw charger would need a semi to haul it!  As to your questions, and this applies to the Brammo Empulse as the Victory Empulse battery is slightly different.  The battery is a pouch cell design with Li[NiCoMn]O2 chemistry.  The battery is comprised of 28 cell "stacks" of 3.7 nominal voltage 10 AH cells giving you a nominal pack voltage of 103.6.  Stored energy is 9.31 kWh nominal, 10.2 kWh max.  The battery is Brammo model BPM 15/90.  Hope this helps.

Otten will know he made a ~9.1KW system for the brammo empulse.

Mario belgium also has 2 elcon tc charcers on his empulse.

Haha yes my bad. Its a 3300W charger. In a previous post from user Protomech:

10.4 kWh is indeed a decent bump in capacity. I suspect this is with a 28s10p battery using the same 10Ah cells.

the victory has 11Ah cells instead of the 10Ah the brammo has.I thougt the victory uses EIG cells.

From all the battery specs for the Empulse TT i read online:
BATTERY CAPACITY 10.4 kWh
BATTERY VOLTAGE 103.6V / 117.6V (max)

And all articles indicate that the battery is a pouch cell design. So what i'm not able to understand is how we end up with the 10.4kWh number for the final capacity. Any thoughts?

Because there are multiple 3.7 volt 10 Ah cells in parallel in a stack which increases the total amp hours of the stack.  The 28 stacks are then connected in series to get the 103.6 nominal output voltage.

Sorry I can't help but 3300 watts isn't that like the stock onboard charger?

Yes it is, but the output DC current max is 24-25Amps. The 3300W Elcon TC charger i believe has a higher output current. We could either combine 2 3.3kW chargers or get one of their 6.6kW chargers. I think we could charge at 64A output current. Thats atleast 2.5 times faster than the current onboard charger.

Aah yes, this makes sense. I think now i understand the numbers to know how it makes upto 10400W battery capacity.

Any idea if the BMS on the Empulse can accept CAN commands?
If not then Elcon mentions that they could add a simple on off switch based on the max voltage limit.

The max voltage of the pack is 117.6, which means max voltage per cell is 4.2V?
Do you guys think this could work?
