Hello, good to hear you've had a successful ride. 18mls is a fair distance. The coolant pump start and motor temps are as I would expect so that's great. The  neither file  was  of the first ride sadly, your looking for a file of about 500kb ending in .DRV.  for 18mls.
Thought I would mention, you  have to select the extension .DRV  in the log file creator or the  Victory Diagnostic program as they only show .CHG files by default. Hope this helps.

Good morning EV promise, Did you download the "first street run" file then open it with Excel? If you just click on it, it opens with google docs I think and doesn't show the correct info. let me know.

I have it this time, not sure why, but I only had the first 56 rows which didn't include the ride. I'll be back.  :)

Hello, I've looked at the ride and also compared it with a ride the bike did back in 2016 plus one of my own. All at a similar  temperature and exact distance for good measure. The two rides done by this bike 6 years apart show no difference in the battery performance and the cell temps were identical!
As you might have imagined, from earlier, the pcb temp of 5 is lower, however this value does not appear to be used. Cell temp values are used by the module heaters.
The pre ride charge did warm the cells and the heaters cut out just before the ride. Perfect.
I've attached a screenshot of three rides, the middle one is from "first ride", lower one from same bike 6 years earlier at 1600mls. Top one is from my bike and is included as it show the difference between a Victory Empulse and a Brammo Empulse with regards to cell temps.
Conclusion, you have a great bike. Enjoy... Are there any other thoughts.

Quick update
5 months of mostly commuting 10 miles to work. 966 miles total
humidity levels in May were   51,54,62,53,52,46,48
humidity levels as of last ride 59,58,64,55,55,55,55
No errors
When the temp outside is low and you try hard acceleration it will give a battery warning on the dash but did not do it in the warm weather.
I got caught in 2 substantial rain events and we all know that those modules are not factory sealed anymore
Module 7 cells 2,3 & 4 have the Brammo cells in it ( I think)

I know it has been 18 months and things look thin on the forum, but I just replaced the motor unit on my bike and it woke up with the B40 fault. I do not think I have the capacity to rebuild the battery, but I certainly believe I can remove/reinstall . . . anyone know of a person/business capable of a rebuild for me?
The bottom battery is flashing green, while the upper battery is completely dead. It sat uncharged for a year, I really struggled to find a motor unit. I believe if this bike genre is going to continue battery restoration has got to be part of the plan and it seems like some outfits are starting to crop up.

Hi charlie

sucks to hear you have problems with the battery pack, it's a little difficult to swap out the batteries for differnt / new ones if you don't have knowledge about batteries.

I am planning to rebuild the battery pack of my brammo empulse 2014 with LG Chem cells in 4S modules. and use the CMU's from the old battery pack so I dont have to reconfigure the whole canbus system.

It is at least possible to swap the whole battery pack for a new one with the same cell type. (Lithium-Ion) I can maybe give you some advise on the pack or replacement modules.

Kind regards,

Johan (netherlands)

Hi Johan and a pleasure to chat,
I am well over the 'sucks' part and committed to learning these systems. I appreciate your insights . . . I sure could use some help on 3 things with this B40 System Fault keeping the BMS in Idle Mode.
1.   Diagnostic connection for EMPULSE
I have the have the battery modules out and voltages are right on for both the upper (59.2V) and lower (44.4). I also downloaded Battery Diagnostics v1.0.11.41, are you aware of how I can connect to them, USB or special cable?
2.   12V System
Does the bike have a 12V system that could be causing this error?
3.   Wiring diagram
I am working with a car battery shop in the local area, they say the modules are well designed and easy to troubleshoot . . . it would be even easier if we had a schematic of the wiring, any chance you have one? I found one from 2014 but it does not include the module wiring and likely from the Enertia Series.
I am not against replacing the cells, although I still have not been able to locate them, can you direct me to where you found the LG Chem cells?

Kind regards, charlie

Hi Im in Australia and have been tasked with repairing a Victory Brammo that had a lower battery module leak.
It has damaged one of the BMS modules .
I have rebuilt the battery module but im unable to locate a BMS module.
Could some let be know where I could find one?
