seat height
« on: April 26, 2011, 12:29:09 AM »
I heard that the seat height is something ridiculously high like 33.4 inches. :o

And it does not look like anything could be done to customize the bike for shorter riders or people who just like to sit 'in' the bike like a race seat.

Brammo employees, please reply.

The specifications list the seat height at 32 inches.

32 inches is a fine height unless you are fairly short....

talk about seat heights...

Seat height, unladen weight   35/35.8 inches (890 / 910 mm)

I always wondered just how talk people in Germany are...BMW bikes all have hella tall seats.

I rode a friend's R600GS last summer and he was a pretty short guy -- he had a custom seat on his and the 600 is substantially lower than the 1200 anyway.

I sat on the Empulse prototype when it was at Scuderia West last month. The seating position felt very much like any other IC sport bike and I could get both feet on the floor, with my 30" inseam. Also the prototype has a rather nice custom, but thick, seat. My guess is that the production Empulse will have a thinner seat with a lower height to the ground. It wouldn't be hard for Brammo to lower the seating position an inch or so.

cool. thanks for the info. you must be one of the few who have sat on the empulse.

even my friends who are unusually tall prefer a  lower seat over a high seat because they say they can control the bike better being closer to the CG.  :-*
