It would be nice to have some EVs there like the Brammo, Zero or LEAF...

The Volt is a hybrid, a plug in hybrid...but I guess if GM calls it an EV enough it just might stick...


Not that there is anything wrong with the Volt...my wife plans to buy a plug in hybrid next year (likely the Ford CMax Energi...maybe the Plug in Prius)...but if it uses a gas engine or generator and a battery, well it is a Plug in Hybrid...

That sounds like something that I might attend. Too bad my GPR-S is pretty much defunct. It would need a sail to get down there.   :(  I'll have to ride one of my IC motorcycles, instead.

Hey, I just noticed that they will be serving free food. Now I know I will be there, at 10 am sharp. Got to get those jelly donuts before they are all gone!   ;D

Well, someone didn't want me to attend the Volt EV meet. I was all geared up and ready to go this morning. When I pushed my Suzuki out of the garage, I noticed that it wasn't rolling very easy. It turned out that I had a flat tire (naturally it was almost new).  >:( There was the tip of a Skill saw blade in the tire and the tire was down to 5 psi. It took me all morning to plug the flat. First my glue was dried out and I had to go buy a new tube, then I couldn't get the plug strip into the hole no matter how hard I pushed. I finally gave up and unearthed my "Stop and Go" kit which I had never tried before. It took me an hour to figure out how it worked, but once I did, the plug went in easily and I can now recommend the "Stop and Go" for plugging a tubeless tire. I figure I can use it to plug a tire in about 10 minutes now that I know how it works. But by the time all that drama had ended, it was too late to attend and besides I was beat. I hope someone managed to get there and can deliver a report on what I missed.
