New guy from North England
« on: October 22, 2011, 07:08:03 PM »
hi guys... I'm new to the whole forum thing, so I'm sorry if I do something wrong. I'm still not quite old enough to drive yet, but Brammo seems to be the best option for when I get a liscence. My dad bought me a bike when I was young, so I have loved the feel of bikes since I was about 5 years old. I might ask some questions from time to time, and some might be a little silly. I was amazed when I first flicked through the forum to find how nice and inviting everybody is to each other; none of the 'hating' that you get on youtube, so thanks a lot for making it easy to post without feeling under pressure :). Also, a big thumbs up to the production crew at Brammo, you are doing an awesome job ;)

Welcome to the forum...most of us seem to be old geezers :), but there are some youngsters here...

Great to see you looking into Electric bikes...I think it will be the wave of the future...

And of course ask all the questions you want/need.

Gavin

Which bike are you most interested in?

If your first vehicle is a Brammo...dang, I will be hella jealous...my first car was a green 1973 AMC Gremlin that I had to share with my brother...

Your ride will be way cooler...

Thanks for the reply Gavin :) Electric Bikes are definately the way forwards, especially if they carry on getting as good as they are, as quickly as they are. my mum made a wise decision to make me lock all the money I earned away in a savers account so that when I am old enough, i can buy a decent vehicle (thank you mum). the empulse looks amazing; i was drawn into it as soon as I saw a picture of it on Google. I'm not sure I could live with sharing a bike or car with my sister, so i sympathise for you, gavin.

Welcome to the Forum Dan.
You mum's a wise lady indeed, I bet you've been saving ever more frantically since you saw the Empulse :P
My first car was my dad's old 800cc suzuki...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maruti_800 it was the second gen shown in the link...
I guess things change so quick, I got my first cell phone towards the end of my bachelor's degree...
Now kids seem to be carrying them to school...
This will be my first bike and here you are not even old to vote, and vying for one...
Don't worry about asking 'silly' questions, old geezers like gavin and 'youngsters' like me will try and respond back quickly...
It's a fairly active forum, and we always seem to be waiting to see something new, especially since news has been a little slow lately...
