Oh the humidity.
The temp at this meeting was over 100 degrees, and thank goodness they had me and the Volt guy in the shade. As displays of my bike go, this was more frustrating than most. The service area for this electric utility is fairly large, but predominantly rural. Most people walked hurriedly by to get inside the building and start collecting free stuff. Those that stopped to talk were fairly critical of the bike due to the range. The "average commute" for most of these folks falls outside the NHTSA average of 25 or so miles. Plus, this is Harley Land.
The positives are: getting the word out that electric motorcycles exist, that they're fun to ride, and that they are evolving.
The Chevy Volt was definitely very cool. Got to sit in it, but no test drives. The dealer who was showing it said I was welcome to come to the dealership to take it out, which I may do.
