When I read the reviews of the Enertia, I find it very appealing.  I live in a part of Canada (Victoria, BC) where the winters are mild enough to commute by motorcycle year-round.

What are Brammo's plans for sales in Canada?

Welcome to the forum.

Brammo is planning international sales. I am fairly certain that you could import one into Canada using a freight broker like FedEx or DHL.

My suggestion would be to ask a Brammo specialist at Best Buy in Portland, OR about the process of shipments to Canada.

Geographically, you are fairly close to the Brammo head office and the current Brammo-supporting Best Buy stores.

If you still have trouble, please post here again. I work for a U.S. company that exports our products into Canada and it is not a difficult process for us.

However, I am not sure about the duty or taxes you would pay. If you have any idea on that, I would be curious to know.

I tried contacting Best Buy Canada, and the person on the phone said that if it isn't on the Canadian web-site, it isn't available in Canada, period.

I then tried calling Best Buy in the USA, and was told they do not do shipments to Canada.

I imagine I could go to a Best Buy in Oregon and try to buy it in the store, then transport somehow to the border and get it across, etc.

It doesn't look like I'm likely to get one of these anytime soon.  I will continue to watch the factory site, and hope that someday there is dealer support in Canada.

I never stepped foot in Portland, OR and my Enertia shipped 2,000 miles away to me.

I also looked online about the process, and it can be done.

After writing to Brammo HQ, I received an email stating that they are involved with testing for Transport Canada, and that they hope to offer sales in Canada by early to mid 2011.

I just read a report saying that the Brammo bikes were going to be available in Canada (at last!) can anyone confirm or deny this?

Anyone want to get involved with the comments on that page and tell them how great the bikes are, and easy to insure, etc....

I don't think I can tell you how happy the prospect of being able to get one of these here makes me. I currently ride a 650 thumper that's older than a lot of my coworkers. Since I commute on it year round in all weather, every day that I'm not fixing the elderly beast I really would like to upgrade to highway capable electric. Frankly, electric just makes sense for my riding. The only thing that it wont be perfect for is vactions where I want to ride two up.

Has anyone heard anything about when or if Brammo is going to be available in Canada? Zero has a dealer just down the street from where I work but... I don't want a Zero.
