Hello all from EmpulseBuyer.com, and Colorado too!
« on: July 31, 2010, 10:18:50 AM »
Hello fellow electric bike enthusiasts! Just thought I would drop by and introduce myself. Im Jeremy from Littleton, CO! Currently I'm a bit of a poser and don't actually own a Brammo, yet. I got my pre-order in though! Empulse order # 20100715003. I have been following the industry for about a year now and took it upon myself to provide mindless speculation about Brammo's new ride.

Anyway, when Im not shamelessly self promoting my blog (EmpulseBuyer.com btw), you can find me in the twisties on my Ducati 749. I have been riding for about 7 years now and have owned 2 hondas before my Duc. I love my Duc, but Im really looking forward to skipping out on the 6 thousand mile maintenance services. $900 dollars a pop!

Welcome to the forum. I wish more people who pre-ordered the Empulse would post here.

Colorado has a nice tax incentive for EVs. The motorcycle owner ROI calculator on your blog is nice idea to demonstrate the low operating costs of a Brammo motorcycle.

Thanks Phantom! My goal with the calculator, and my blog for that matter, is to try and get people to see the big picture. Too many people look at the numbers (Upfront cost, horsepower, range, etc.) and dismiss electric motorcycles before they ever get to know what they are all about.

Brammo is a private company and has not released the number of pre-orders for the Empulse yet as far as I know. My best guess is that you will hear a number quoted in a news story when it is to the advantage of Brammo to release that kind of information.

If Brammo wanted the pre-orders numbers known in real-time, they could have used a different numbering system for customer pre-orders.

I would expect a steady stream of new pre-orders as the Empulse protoype is sent to different motorcycle events and as more people learn about it online.

I have seen a good number of people acknowledge their pre-orders on various electric motorcycle forums.
