Startup tone on 2014 Empulse R?

I recently got a 2014 Empulse R. I notice in the manual that it mentions a startup tone:

3. The Empulse start-up tone will sound and the indicator lights on
the instrument cluster will illuminate briefly as a system check.

Mine doesn't make a tone. Is this a setting somewhere?

I rode an Empulse R last year during a test drive and I definitely remember a tone when starting the bike.

I bet someone unplugged (or forgot to plug in) the speaker. When I was getting my firmware updated, the tech forgot that during reassembly and obviously it doesn't make sound when the speaker isn't plugged in.

IIRC, the speaker is taped to the bottom of the carbon tank cover, near the J1772 plug. Pull the main tank cover off, then the carbon bit. The carbon bit should be held back by the speaker wire. If it's unplugged, you'll know right away because you'll be able to pull it all the way off the bike.

Ooooo... now I know how to cut my speaker wire! Like loud pipes, I liked them only for a little while.

Yeah it should be like your cell phone where you can pick any recording for your tone and change it at a whim. 

I'm thinking the opening riffs to the Stones "Start Me Up."

Selectable sound would cause me not to cut my speaker wire!

A big HD starting up.
A F1 car at full throttle down the straight.
A Pratt & Whitney B24 engine starting up is pretty awesome.
Of course, music choices are endless.

There's a music file located maybe on the USB under the seat(?) and I want to say it was Freepz that mention to me that he changed his to something else (I could be wrong).
I've mentioned this on another thread but being this one got the attention of Brammo QC
