TechSpec Tank Pro added

Added a TechSpec Tank Pro tank tank protector to Sparky. Matches the look of the bike and keeps scratches away.

Nice job on applying the Stompgrip tank pads on the sides!  Did you just buy the universal large piece and cut it to shape?  I'm impressed!

Thanks! Yep, sure did Brian. I templated it out freehand with some paper first, laid the paper on it after I cut out the template to validate fit, crossed fingers, and then cut the Stomps. Only had to trim about 1/4" from the bottom.

Lookin' good!

I'm very interested in the side pads on the Empulse, as the quick rise in the rear of the seat shoves me forward and gripping with the knees on the stock bike seems like it would be helped along with the pads.

Did you consider the Techspec C3 instead of the Stompgrip and if so, why did you choose the latter?

Thanks! I've used both tank sidepads on multiple bikes and found the TechSpecs are more street orientated and the Stompgrips are better for track use. They're more aggressive in terms of side grip.

My street dedicated bikes tend to have TechSpecs on them and my track dedicated go the Stomp route. I'm planning on tracking this Empulse so I put Stompies on the side.

Can you remove it easily? Why not go with Clear?

I decided to add a clear protective film on the sides of the tank.  This kit was from my BMW R1200C.  I trimmed the over hang after the picture was taken.
