New owner in the Netherland
« on: March 22, 2017, 10:43:00 AM »
After following this forum for a long time, I just bought a second-hand Empulse-R.
Some of you might wonder why? Brammo is dead, Victory is dead...so why a Brammo?
I always liked the design. All other brands hide the fact that they are electric, by hiding it behind plastic.
I like the fact that you can see the batteries.
The fact that the range is smaller than the new bikes and it hoes not have fast charging is something I accept.
On this forum you are already asking what is possible by changing the charger or adding DC charging, so I'm hopeful. For now I have a lot of fun on the bike!!

Welcome, Rolf!  I think about picking up an Empulse all the time, so I fully support your decision.  Do you know much about the prior owner? How many miles are on it?

Hope you share some photos of your bike soon.

I also think about it all the time but I don't think I will do it.  I have always loved the design of the Empulse (even if it a few years old) but I will probably go with the Zero sometime in the next few months.  I will probably still keep my Enertia though

Congrats.  I bought mine in Sep '16.  I absolutely love this bike.  When and if the batteries have to be replaced I'll upgrade it to have a longer range.  I'd gladly buy a second one and may do just that in the future when prices come down.   I'm probably going to buy an Enertia for my wife.

ooooh you're going to have so much fun on that beast ;) I bought mine 2 years ago in amsterdam and it's been bringing me from home to work in utrecht ever since. Sadly broke a rear wheel bearing 2 weeks ago. Hope to get it fixed soon.

Enjoy!
