Technical question

Hey guys! I have a tech question regarding a 2013 Empulse R.

There is a wire with two leads coming off my clutch handle that isn't attached to anything. There is a separate cord, also with two wires, coming from the left control assembly that is not attached to anything. Should these be connected? There does not seem to be any functional problem with the bike. No idea how they could have separated. Everything is working fine.

My 2014 Brammo Empulse R has the same unused connectors on the handle bars. Right hand bar connector is labelled as 'handlebar power' on 2014 wiring diagram but with no fuse installed in the fuse box. I've taken my power from the connector under the seat.
