If you are only allowed to ride a 50cc motorbike when you are 16 in the UK, is there a maximum power output for electric motorbikes for 16 year olds? ???

easy enough to put a speed limiter on the bike...

of course it would also be fairly easy to mod bike to over-ride that limiter...

Lucky for you, a Brammo is 0 cc. I had to legally register my Brammo as 1 cc as my state's computer system would not accept a 0.

Ha ha! 1 cc, sounds more like the break fluid reservoir! (Although I suspect that the reservoir is bigger than that.)

When I got an insurance quote from progressive, I had to specify 1cc to get their online quote tool to proceed. (this despite instructions on the page to list 0cc for electric bikes).

I'm pretty sure that when I signed up with Progressive, the Brammo Enertia was one of the bikes already listed.  :o

This is actually a very good question for Brammo.

Unlike the States, across the pond there are big limitations to what a 16 year can buy.

Sorry Dan, the Empulse is clearly too powerful...heck I, sadly, don't think the Enertia or Plus would be allowed either.

Perhaps Brammo has a restricted power Enertia?

For young riders in Europe, Brammo should do that, or a speed restricted Encite...or just make an electric scooter...
