Any idea on how long they would last unused? For example, buy them now, but use them in eight years.
Would they need to stay continuously charged?

It would be nice to use them in a project bike.

I'd guess that they'd need some periodic charging (and maybe discharging?), but a better question is why you'd want to bet on battery futures in that way? It just seems high risk that far out with battery tech changing and also with even a small amount of uncertainty on the lifecycle impact of them being relatively unused for 5 years.

It seems like it would be an easy Plug-N-Play option for current Enertia owners who were thinking about keeping the Enertia for a long time.

I would bet on switching to a better battery pack in the future. We are already seeing batteries that can get more range.

Does the Enertia use the Valance U1-12XP modules? I may have acquired a large lot of them and am willing to part out packs at half off MSRP prices just to get them out of here.

Yes, the Enertia uses 6 U1-12XP.

There was some discussion last month about using a portable solar panel charger to recharge the battery.

I'm interested in this piece of equipment for several applications.
Would someone be so kind as to look at the specs of this solar power generator and tell me if this would be sufficient enough to charge the Empulse?
