First Enertia registered in Hong Kong
« on: February 28, 2012, 08:26:55 AM »
Twitter message from JCAMMATT (from Jackie Chan's EV company):

First Brammo Enertia electric motorcycle registered in Hong Kong today 28 Feb 2012! Milestone complete!

Congratulations, Matt!

I'm a bit surprised that it took so long. We've seen photographs of the Enertia in Hong Kong for a long time already. Hopefully the Plus and Empulse will be quicker.

I agree. Congratulations and enjoy the ride!

I was kind of hoping to see the new 6-speed Empulse featured in the next Jackie Chan movie.  I'll bet he could do some real damage riding that bike.   ;D

I bet it will be faster. A lot of the early delays are probably due to setting Brammo up as a new manufacturer and warming up the entire process sequence..

yep...and I bet those test bikes the police used did not need to be registered. Nor, maybe any demo bikes?

So this would likely be the first "official" sold bike in Hong Kong?

I do know they have had some riding around...I've seen the fancy paint jobs :)  in magazines and videos.

Is Hong Kong getting Enertia's or Pluses? For some reason I thought that deal was for +s.

The HK PD trial was Enertia Plus. I think this is for consumer bikes.

Hong Kong Police will be getting Enertia Plus Law Enforcement models.

I imagine that the dealership will get a full range of models (starting with some Enertias).

Hong Kong could sell quite a few Brammos...I assume they will get a fair number of the early bikes being made in Hungary.
