Mine went the other way.  I e-mailed Brammo to find out my order number before I realized there was a user account section of the website, and they told me I was 506 or something.  Then I found the user account section and my order is 246.  I am not sure what the disconnect is/was.

I signed into the Brammo shop to look at my pre-order. (It'is still #935.)
I noticed a few interesting things:

SKU: SKU111
Product: Brammo Empulse R
Item price: $0.00
Quantity: 1
Total: $0.00

  • It looks like they have me buying the Empulse R. (Yeah, I know that we can change that, but it's nice to see how optimistic they are!)
  • The price is $0.00! :) That would be swell, but I guess that price is for the pre-order, rather than for the bike. :P

No e-mail yet. I will report here as soon as I get one if no one beats me to it.

It is likely to be early next week.

That depends on how many Brammo can manufacture in a month. I think they are building them now. Anyone have any idea how many they can assemble per month once full production starts in July? I imagine only Brammo can really answer that question.

I'll throw a number out there. My guess is that Brammo would be able to make 8 Empulse R's a day at the Oregon factory once they get up to speed.
current bikes: 2018 16.6 kWh Zero S, 2011 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Classic, 2009 BMW F650GS, 2007 BMW R1200R, 2005 Triumph T-100 Bonneville, 2002 Yamaha FZ1 and a 1978 Honda Kick 'N Go Senior.

So 160/month .. that's not bad, that's a thousand motorcycles by the end of the year, demand permitting.

Let's say Brammo doesn't get a thousand orders for the R. Do they start selling the base Empulse once they exhaust R orders?

Hmmm... well I hope they sell that many, I want Brammo to do well, but 19k is just too much for me considering my car (2012 Chevy Cruze ECO) was 20k... 17k is still out of my range but I may be able to manipulate my budget to make it work.

Wife is still not 100% on board  :-\ She is saying a deck for the back yard is more important  ::)

Just found this:
"The Empulse R will be available in June 2012 on a limited basis, and in full production between July and September 2012. The Empulse will be available during the first quarter (January to March) 2013. For more information, visit Brammo.com."

Here: http://www.justluxe.com/lifestyle/luxury-cars/feature-1771883.php

So it looks like we are talking about limited production run for the R...
Probably no chance of a base Empulse this year :(

It is also somewhat implied that if you want to get an Empulse R, you better buy one now?  It's sort of fuzzy on that.  Maybe it will be like the Signature Edition Tesla's, where there is only a limited number?

I logged in to have a look and mine still says:

SKU    Product    Item price    Quantity    Total
SKU11    Brammo Empulse 8.0    $0.00      1    $0.0

#575 by the way.

Am I still OK or will I be converted later due to living in Europe?

I'm converted to the Empulse R and live just North of Alkmaar.

I don't think it means much, really. Lots of people on the list aren't going to be able to foot the bill which will shorten it but is it approved by the authorities here yet? No dealers in Holland so it'll have to be an import with associated tax. I'm thinking of suggesting to Brammo to sell me an R in Dollars and I'll ship it.......share a crate?
