The 2012 Enertia Plus LE was created to address the specific needs of law enforcement, security and fleets around the world. Using the world class design and industry leading technology contained in the Enertia Plus, the Enertia Plus LE comes equipped with specially designed internal components that support the lights, siren and accessory packages desired by any law enforcement agency. The Enertia Plus LE can also be customized to fit the specific lighting needs of an agency. Accessories such as a windscreen, center stand and Givi side bags can also be added.

With a top speed of 65 mph and a range of 80 miles on a single charge, the Enertia Plus LE has the power and handling to operate in the tightest, most sensitive and challenging areas, both indoors and outdoors. While many of these details require the use of either a mountain bike or a traditional gas powered motorcycle, the Enertia Plus LE can handle them all and at a much lower overall long term cost.

TACTICAL ADVANTAGES
In a world where there is little in the way of true “cover” for law enforcement officers, the Enertia Plus LE provides the tactical advantage of sound discipline with its very low noise profile, while also providing the customer service advantage that traditional gas powered motorcycles cannot provide. The Enertia Plus LE also projects the image of professionalism necessary to law enforcement.

While I was doing my Zero test ride in Stuart, the salesman spoke of how he had approached the local law enforcement people about using LE versions of the Zero. The advantages of an electric motorcycle for the police are numerous (and we all know what they are). The only drawback I can see is the initial cost.

Other problems have more to do with perceptions.
- Range anxiety, which they are going to have to get over by using the bikes.
- There may also be some machismo here. Going from a beefy, loud cruiser to a sleek, silent electric may be a difficult transition for some. Plenty of positive examples will help shift that perception, like widespread adoption, and more electric race bikes.

Here is a professional police officer's review of the 2012 Zero DS as an LE vehicle. While it is a review of the Zero, most of the comments would also apply to the Plus when used for police department patrolling:
