Enertia Plus photos in the WILD...
« on: December 27, 2012, 02:51:02 PM »
Ok we have a "in the wild" thread for the Empulse R...

Now we can start one for the Enertia Plus (they are in Europe now, slowly...and America soon...or soonish...)

Here is a working Enertia Plus in the wild...

My thoughts, exactly. I just don't have an Enertia Plus that can go into the wild of Amsterdam and surroundings, so here's my Plus in its caged environment:

As you can see, no licence plate yet.

of course there are plenty of photos of an Enertia Plus in the wild over at a certain blog...but they aren't photos of a customer's Plus... :)

Photos like this:

and photos in Las Vegas, The Grand Canyon, The Trinity Site and more...

Btw, how can I directly add an image?

When you include the [ img ] code, the url between the codes has to go directly to an image file, e.g. one that ends with .jpg or .png.

For example, the image you posted does have a .jpg at the end, but only if you right-click on it and choose the "Copy image url" option (or whatever the equivalent is in your browser).  What I usually do is right-click the image and choose "open image in a new tab" in order to see how it displays. Then I copy the url from that new tab and put it between the [ img ] codes.

You can also adjust the size of that image (e.g. if it is displaying too large) by adding "width=400" or something similar, after the xxx.jpg url name. For example (and I'm leaving some spaces in the [ img ] codes so that you will be able to see how to do it -- no spaces should be in the codes when you do it):

[ img ]http://notarealurl.com/amazingbrammopicture.jpg width=400[ /img ]

Your photo appears fine (EXCELLENT PIC, By the way :) ) so it should look like this:

The forum software will automatically add the width= flag if the image is over-large. No need to add it yourself unless you want to customize the width.

For example, the above image reference looks like so:
Code: [Select]

A shot of my Plus parked Dutch-bicycle-style (two locks, one around a pole), at the defunct Western Gas Factory in Amsterdam. Not the best conditions for photography or for riding, but resistance is futile.

Frank, brave. Very very brave. My Plus is in the garage near the sledges. Guess what is more in use  ::)
And the tail looks pretty good!

Hi Frank,
Not far from that spot is a public charge point. better park there and keep your batteries nice and warm  :)

1 is the loneliest number that you'll ever do....

So yesterday was 24 degrees...cold, but not too bad. Still I had motorcycle parking all to myself.

Wimps.

24 degrees here this morning *brrrr*. I've seen two other bikes in the motorcycle parking here in about a month .. and one of those is a coworker.

Its freakishly warm up here in Denver. Supposed to be 69 degrees tomorrow... not your typical January in Denver weather. Wish I had a bike to ride  :'(

-10 celcius here this morning. The last two weeks I am the only idiot to come to the office by bike.
But then I am also the only one to have a thermoscud and muffs  ;D
But plenty arrive on bicycles, of course it is still Holland...

I left the Enertia at home this week. Too much snow, so I went to work on my bicycle (and the tram). But the roads are clear enough now I think so maybe tomorrow I'll take it out again. The only real snow is where I need to park it (see pic above). Will also try the public charge point (scooter version) there for the first time, see if that keeps my batteries warm as you suggested, @kingcharles. Last time I tried charging them, outside, after coming home (with warm batteries), charging stopped at 91% because the batteries were too cold again. :-\
