Hello Brammo owners, I am new here, because my Empuls R never made any problems! Now is the first time, i cannot solve the riddle. I had a Fault C2. After reading in this forum, i found the problem with the Anderson connection. So i solved this problem. The Fault C2 did not go away. So I think, that the blue and brown cable in the Anderson connector did touch, when the housing melted! So there was a shortcut, I think! Does someone know, wether there is a fuse inside the onboardcharger on the output side or is the charger now damaged? Has someone had a similar problem? Are chargers somehow availlable, if the worst thing happened and it is broken? Thanks for Your help!
Cheers WW

Hi, sad to hear about your troubles. There are 3 charger fuses in the 125v fusebox you will want to check. I'm not thinking the charger comes apart.

Hello, i disasembled the charger and found 2 fuses inside the charger, but they are both OK, another fuse is in the pluscabel of the 250V supply, also OK. So i try now, to repair the charger by a specialist. I think, the output is somehow damaged because of the shortcut. Fingers crossed!

Hi, very good job. Do you have any photos from inside the charger? It would be very useful for us  :)

The charger is at the electronic specialist in the moment. I can post some pictures, when it came back.

Did someone of You measure the Voltage on the anderson connector on the battery side? I measured only 15 Volts! I thought, there should be a voltage around 100 Volts, same voltage like the battery voltage shown in the display!?! I want to make sure to connect it in the right way. At my measurement the plus cable was in the red part and the minus in the black part of the anderson connection, right?

Hi, sadly no measurement from me. I had the service disconnect parted. I can see on the wiring diagram, do you have this? The battery neg lead from the charger goes to the motor controller neg and the battery pos from the charger goes to the 125v fuse box and from there to the motor controller. I would have assumed full battery voltage though.

I am one step further. Just found out, there is a second fusebox on the right side of my bike with 6 fuses, see enclosed picture. This is the picture from the Empulse Manual. But it is wrong. Im my bike, there are 3 fuses with 125V 5A on the positions 3,4 and 5 and 3 blue colored 125V 15A fuses on the positions A, C and E. Can someone tell me , what fuse is for what device? I think, the 3 125V 15A fuses are for the charger. But i have noch idea, what the others do!
Anyone has the same fusebox than me?

There is probably an outdated picture of the fuse box in the manual for Brammo Empulse, perhaps for the first version of the Empulse non R.

I think this is the same arrangement of high voltage fuses as in the Victory Empulse TT fuse box. The fuses for the charger are in positions A, C and E in your case.

Hello KFR, thanks, that is the configuration, i have! That helps a lot. Any idea, where to get those 125V 15A fuses? I found nothing in the Internet. Only for cars and trucks with 12-24V, but nothing for 125V

Hi, not sure how much it helps but here's the datasheet. Closest I can find is 0997015.WXN, a 58v 15A mini fuse.

Did you check if the 125V fuses are really defective?
They can only be obtained from used Brammo Empulse R :(

For example, Suncoast Cyclesports sell parts from the crashed Empulse R. They also offer the main cable harness, which includes fuse boxes including fuses (in the configuration according to the manual).
Try to contact them if they would only sell you the fuses themselves.

I tested the charging now with 3 normal car fuses 12V 15A, after i had removed the Anderson Shit and sodered it. So the charger works again. At the end the 3 15A fuses (all where damaged) saved my Brammo! I ordered now the fuses mentioned below and reassemble my bike again!

Digikey says, that this fuse here has the same tech specs:

Thanks for all Your help
