My Enertia turns "On" but won't "Go"

Instead of helping (or monitoring other peoples' rescues), it is finally time for me to seek the help of others. 

I haven't ridden my Enertia for a couple years but I pulled it out of the garage last weekend to check it out.  I keep it charged, and it charges just fine.

I turned the key on and pressed the "tank" button - got the start-up sound. 
Dash told me the headlight was off - I turned on the lights.
Dash told me the kickstand was down - I raised the kickstand.
I flipped the red handlebar switch from "Off" to "On."

There are no error codes on the dash.

The speedometer shows the amber "ON" but never goes to the green "GO".

What am I missing/forgetting?  Or what should I check?

during the start-up: can you hear a firm "click" from the main contactor? contactor is located between motor and controller. I had this similar problem, i found a fried 5v to 12v dc-dc convertor on vcu pcb...

Hi, I had a look at the manual and the ignition key has a transponder in it. May need reprogramming? You didn't mention pressing the button on the tank but as I've never seen an Enertia I'm not sure if this helps. I hope nothing has broken.

Thanks guys. I'll check for that click. I have no idea where to look for that fuse. Is it one off the fuses under the seat?

Maybe pushing the vcu resetbutton may help

I have the same problem now with my Enertia+  :'(

When I want to put the bike into ride mode by pressing the start button, nothing happens. The contactor does not close and the control diode on the Sevcon motor controller does not light up. I found out that there was a fault somewhere inside the control unit. When I connected it to another working bike, same fault appeared.

Could the DC-DC converter on the VCU board be broken even though it looks fine visually? I also have a problem with the parking lights sometimes not turning on in the park key position, but I don't know if that's related. Also occasionally in the past there was a D4 error and the bike stopped running. After a reboot it worked again.

Hi Gerry, thank you.
It is a dc-dc converter that is soldered directly on the VCU board.
It's a Murata NTE0512MC.

I don't think it can be replaced with another power supply.
I have another spare VCU where the same converter is burnt.
My friend is going to replace it with a new one and I'm going to hope it helps to get my bike working again :)
