Hi Doc.  Didn't you receive a confirmation email from Brammo when you ordered? If so, the number is on it.  If not, you should definitely contact them and make sure that your order was received.

I placed my order in September 2010 - I received the order confirmation email, but there is no indication of where I am in line:

"Order #20100908003"

is all was written in the confirmation email.

In any case... looking at the bright side of waiting - I'm learning how to achieve a whole new level of patience.

I see: "Order #20100908003"
Using my confirmation number as a guide, break your number down as this:
2010 - the year
09 - September
08 - the date?
003 - your order number
My number was the same (different date) but ended with 945.
My confirmation actually gave me my # as 945.
There ya go!

I also ordered an Empulse but have not received any number.

You have to be a bit patient. For some reason, it takes a few days to get the email confirmation with your number. I got impatient and ended up ordering again. After a few days I got an email confirmation, and then a second one!

I don't know why it would take so long. These days an email confirmation usually happens in seconds, or minutes at worse. Perhaps there is some human intervention going.

I was reading on Facebook today that someone had a question about ordering an Empulse and Brammo responded about the waiting list and that a US order today would be delivered 2012! What's up with that? Should we expect the Empulse next year? :'(

Most likely the best they can hope for is to deliver some this year...meaning that people on the end of list (as of today) would have virtually no chance of delivery this year.

Well the law of averages says that not everyone will likely follow through with their preorders of the Empulse...  All I can hope for is that my order number #908 gets moved up...  I would almost be willing to pay in full, in advance, to move up the waiting list to get mine ASAP; with the price of gas in S.FL on the rise it may actually save me money in the long run.
If not then the question is raised that if the model year 2011 doesn't arrive until 2012 then the bike has already depreciated one model year before it's delivered.  So does the bike model year now become a 2012? Then depending on that answer raises many other questions regarding value to the bank if there's financing, the insurance company (in case stuff happens), etc...  Of course all could be fixed if Brammo just says that the 1st Gen. Model Empulse is a 2012.

Likewise!  I've been saving my tax return and I would gladly pay cash up front for one of the first bikes.  I commute ~40 miles daily and I'm looking forward to fewer trips to the gas station.

Also, check this out:
http://www.oregonbusiness.com/high-five/10-high-five/5158-brammo-launches-dealership-program

"[Adrian Stewart, sales and marketing director at Brammo] said Brammo has received 1,000 pre-orders for the Empulse."

It sounds like the magic number has been reached!

Impatiently,

Rob.

I went back through my order info (emails, invoices) and found conflicting order id #'s

One is: 20100908003

Another is: 20100908684

Since I pre-ordered two months after the unveiling - I'm sure that the the second number (684) is the correct one.

We may have to wait until next year to get our bikes, but Craig told me that they will have the Empulse at dealers THIS SUMMER for promotion/test rides.

Test riding it will probably make the anticipation that much more unbearable, but I will none-the-less do exactly that.

Is that "the Empulse" as in the Empulse concept that they've been showing for a year or so? IE it will only be at one dealer at a time? Or are they making a very limited run of production-intent bikes?

He clearly said that there would be multiple Empulse bikes at multiple dealers for test-rides. Although he didn't specify - I got the impression that they would be the final production model (i.e. with the transmission).

Summer officially started last week and ends on September 23rd. Start calling your local dealer now    ;)

Does that include the new HD dealerships?
