Oh, sorry I did not know that.

I will not post the link either. But the EPR looks REALLY good  ;D

Breaking News: Production Brammo Empulse R Electric Motorcycle Spied!

by Brenda Priddyon 04.30.2012 21:41

No “concept” or prototype here—this is the real thing. After years of rumors, concept introductions and even so-called prototypes spotted, we spied Brammo’s Empulse R electric motorcycle while it was part of a video shoot over the weekend.

Brammo’s new motorcycle is expected to top off at 100 mph, with a 121 mile-per-charge range. There are lots of specs on the Brammo website, but it’s not clear if the specs they publically offer are only for the concept and prototypes—or if they’ll carry over to this somewhat different-looking production model.

Official launch of the Brammo Empulse R Electric is May 8, 2012 at 9:00 pm. For now, however, this is the first and only preview of the “real” Empulse R.

Why would one want an empulse after an enertia? They are completely diifferent in design and use.

I could understand enertia to enertia plus but not epr. ???

Brammo Empulse / crash safety

say I am whining down the road on my EPR and a car pulls out just as I get into the intersection. I try to avoid impact but the driver pulls out just as I pass. The EPR's batteries are smashed and in pieces. The car cathches fire. What do firemen and rescue worker need to know or do? :-\

 :D

you should see the video, then it will all make sense  ;D
Energica's webpage header image sure paints a bizarre picture...

I'm going to be chased by a couple of other bikers (riding the same type of bike as mine), and then wind up at the sea side with a hot, barefooted babe, but keep my riding suit on (including my helmet) while I talk to her.

I would have thought that a helmet would be a rather impractical barrier to intimacy. But what do I know? Perhaps that's how they roll in Italy!

CRP unveiled that at EICMA in Milan last November. They announced last week that they won't bee racing this year in the TTXGP or the e-Power. Also, one of their riders, Shelina Moreda, was recently outed by Brammo as one of their test riders on the Empulse.
But yes, it's a pretty cool bike.

Are you sure Moreda is not a Brammo test rider. I thought I heard in the Bramshuer interview that there are two test riders.

Brammo Empulse / Re: "Revving" the Empulse?
« on: April 20, 2012, 11:38:56 PM »
I have suggested in the past some kind of ice exhaust/engine sound as an acessory. Would be a nice option for those that will miss the feel of an old motorcycle. :-*

I was going to say that the computer might not let you rev with the clutch pulled in in the first place, but they may need to allow it to engage for no other reason than for the occasional need to help the gears engage (most notably if you coast to a stop with the clutch pulled in, then it is hard to downshift without blipping the clutch slightly).

With respect to having a neutral - it might actually cost more to get rid of it as that would require a custom gear set rather than taking a stock design (they are likely going to need a somewhat unique set of ratios compared to an ICE bike, but choosing different gear cogs is less of a customization than removing a neutral mechanism).  One advantage to having neutral is having the bike sitting, on, but in a mode where nobody can run over themselves by grabbing the wrong handlebar.  When I test rode the Zero there was a little safety lesson before I could board the bike that involved basically "keep in mind that if you touch the throttle now it *will* move so watch what you do".

It might take less power to put a small speaker that emits a whining sound when you twist the throttle while disengaged. How about some LEDs in the motor casing that make it look like a plasma ball is forming?  ;)

Brammo Empulse / Empulse haters

I don't understand why the children these days don't believe in the technology. Is it because it is soo different they are afraid of it. They still think ICE is the best for motorcycles. Do they love the sound or what? I am having a hard time talking sense into them. The Empulse R is here, in their faces and they make fun of it, like they never heard of it and won't give it a chance.  ::)

Brammo News And Views / Mr. Bramcher interview
« on: April 19, 2012, 08:24:15 PM »
I just saw all 20 mins of it. May/June we should see reviews for the Empulse in magazines, etc. No big surprises. A little history of where Brammo is going in the future and where it has been. Empulse R is like the 9.7 in the 6, 8, 10.0 range.
From the sound of it, Brammo should take good care of their customers
IIRC 10.0 was in the $15000 range, right?

$18,000 USD, to account for the more expensive suspension, frame, gearbox, larger motor, more powerful charger, cooling system, etc.  You know what they say. You get what you pay for.   :)

you better be wrong because many people will just buy a car and use a ice moto.

R=street legal race bike, like all the japanese R's

The Oregon-based company will produce two versions, the Brammo Empulse and the Brammo Empulse R. Brammo has released new specifications for the R version though it’s not clear what differentiates the two models. The Empulse R will likely be a faired version similar to the Empulse RR TTXGP racebike. More specific differences will come when both versions of the Brammo Empulse are revealed May 8.

RR--race bike
R--pseudo race bike--Empulse with fairing
Empulse-naked bike

As for battery??
