please be aware that I have also heard from two other interested parties, both of whom are in the United States.  No money has yet changed hands, but who knows when that will change.

You just have to switch the mode from mph to km/h in the dash. it can do either.

Hi Leander,

I could not find instructions in the manual for how to switch the display from mph to km/h.  Could you share with us how to do this?

Hi Michael, I'm still waiting for the price from the importer, but if you have other interested parties, you don't have to wait for me. Karel

Update:

I have found a domestic buyer and have received payment.  Considering this bike sold pending shipping arrangements.

Thank you all very much for your interest!  It's been fun and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to spend some time with this wonderfully supportive community and this beautiful bike.  Hang in there!

Not ever going back to gasoline, so I'm still looking forward to another electric motorcycle.  A lot of new brands are entering this space, so the choices will hopefully get better!  Unfortunately, many new e-moto makers seem to be taking the Tesla route of offering their most expensive bikes--or their least-exciting low-range bikes--or both--first.

Congrats you go a very rare and cool bike.

I just looked in the Victory manual and it has a note in it that you have to see your authorized dealer to program it to change from MPH to KPH.  That is a bummer these bikes don't have something like where you can just change a setting.  If you can find someone that can program it they can change it to KPH.  An alternative would be to install a bicycle computer on it.  Maybe someone will know some kind of special menu to change it not sure...

Hello Michael,

congratulations on the sale of your Empulse R Icon. I hope the new owner will be satisfied.

It will be easier for me if I buy an electric motorcycle in Europe.
I'm also very interested in Steve's ad for the Victory Empulse TT from Canada.
I am now deciding between Victory Empulse TT, Brammo Empulse R, BMW C-Evolution or Vectrix VX-1.

Thank you, HadesOmega.  I will be sad to see it go, but the buyer is excited about it!

Your trip computer idea is a good one.  It reminds me of this photo, in which we see a RAM X-Grip mount on the handlebar.  This can easily and securely carry a smartphone with a speedometer application running in KPH, MPH, Knots, or whatever units speedometer apps support nowadays.  In fact, I did this to see how well it would match the on-board speedometer.  They were pretty close, but a weak GPS signal can easily make the number unreliable.

Thank you, Karel!  I'm glad that Steve's Empulse became available to you.  It sounds like that motorcycle has many advantages for you:  that one already has the KPH speedometer setting because it was sold in Canada, the seller already has some experience transporting vehicles internationally, and the bike is a newer model with no error messages.

Best wishes and happy riding on electricity!
