The existing Brammo dash (for the Enertia) has an air temperature reading, so it's likely that would transfer over to the Empulse.

Glad to hear that it will likely have an AT sensor.

I have a feeling the gear indicator will be even more important on an electric bike with transmission since you won't be able to hear the RPMs nearly as well as with an ICE bike.

I'm also really interested on just how Brammo is putting together a 6-speed transmission for an electric motor. Traditionally a single speed will work, but I also know first hand that using gears can improve performance. The main problem is eating gears when u shift which I would love to know more information about how Brammo is doing that. My gut feeling says you guys did in face figure that out, and that is why Polaris invested in the company.

When riding my ICE bike, I used "the seat of my pants" most of the time to determine when to shift gears. I.e. I could feel the engine vibrations, and without looking, knew if it was time to change gears. Do you get anything like that on an electric? Or is the motor too smooth to feel?

I could do a similar trick with a manual transmission car, but I would listen for engine sounds rather than feel for vibrations.

Or... instead of feeling vibrations and listening to the pitch of the whine, since this IS an ELECTRONIC leading-edge, market-making machine, we COULD just flip a switch into Sport Mode and have the transmission shift itself with gear-saving precision, power-saving speed, and at just the precise point in the power curve for maximum delivery of forward energy.

Each and every time.

An automated clutch IET would make a great deal of sense. I hope Brammo does NOT release an automated clutch IET if it slips development further : P

A gear indicator or at least a tach would be very nice.

Well, I have learned a lot from this topic.  I think I am in the minority (meaning alone) who want an electric sportbike to be used mainly for track days.  Most the things that would make the Empulse a great touring bike are things I would strip off.  Seeing how the bike is already delayed, I hope Brammo would entertain the idea of having at least two variants of the Empulse, one of which would be an R model. 

But seeing how this is a wish list here are a few features that I would like to see.

Fully adjustable suspension with low and high speed adjustment
Full or half fairing
Adjustable rearsets
Steering damper

Wow, yes Brammo please include adjustable rearsets and a damper! Last thing Brammo needs is to hear someone got the Empulse beyond 100mph and had a "tank" slapper. Good call...

Fully adjustable suspension should be standard for a sport bike in this class.

Having a steering dampener option would be nice, or at least some aftermarket support through GPR (I really like their stuff). That's been a mandatory upgrade to save my arse.

As far as range extending capabilities, yes I know batteries are very expensive and to be honest nobody would actually pay for the upgrade cost (Say $2000 for 4kWh or around 30 miles with the extra weight). But... How about the option to put additional packs on as hard case saddle bags and plug in through the secondary charger (off board) dc plug?

I know there are certain rules governing license plate locations, lighting, and turn signals... But can you guys make them all as flush as possible, or at least easily removable since nobody keeps that stuff on anyway. How about some LED tail lights with integrated turn signals too?

That track support would be cool, but the trip to Europe for the championship might be a bit too much for me  ;D

I guess the real thing I wish for is just a great base platform.  In reality everything I would want on the bike can be easily fabricated to work on any motorcycle.  To some degree I am looking forward to that as well.
