I just found another Zero ad. This is a half-page on page 11 of the June issue of Friction Zone magazine. It is titled "The Next Step in Motorcycle Evolution" and says: "Instant acceleration, lightweight, fun and fully electric. Discover the experience of riding and owning an electric motorcycle."
What I found particularly interesting is that Zero lists a number of dealers that are currently selling their 2011 models - which they proclaim are "in stock". Here are the dealers: Mission Motorcycles, Daly City, CA (my closest motorcycle dealer and where I bought my Yamaha FZ1); Escondido Cycle Center, Escondido, CA; Santa Barbara Motorsports, Goleta, CA; Hollywood Electrics, West Hollywood, CA; Norcal Mastercraft Pleasanton, Pleasanton, CA; Moore & Sons Motorcycles, Santa Cruz, CA; Airhead Sales and Service, LLC, Klamath Falls, OR; Responsible Living, Salem, OR; and MC Electric Vehicles, Seattle, WA.
Brammo had better start signing up dealers quick, before Zero picks the cream of the crop. I don't know how many dealers are going to want to sell two electric motorcycles, along with their other products, this early in the EV motorcycle game. You will also note that a couple of these dealers hit a little close to (Brammo's) home.
