F... for Freedom. Yeah, that's the first thing that jumped into my mind too. ;)

Of course you can choose which group you want to be free from. (For example, here in Florida, we're not too keen on BP ever since they dumped a "Freedom" Load of oil in our water.)

Funny.  My local association of electric auto owners just started a similar thread.  Here are some of their ideas (note - not sure how many digits/characters you get in your state, buy in Missouri, six is the maximum:

Sadly, a gas car...but I got the plates to hold that name until I get my EV....hopefully within a year.

Ha....actually I could have a Leaf right now...

I really wanted:

The Aptera....long story


But then I wanted either a Volvo C30 EV or Fiat 500 EV...neither are out yet...

So I was in line for the LEAF...but I also was offered to be one of the first 500 Fiat 500s in the US...

So I was in line for the LEAF and the 500...the 500 came first..so I got it planning to trade it in for the 500 EV later this year...

Who knows if it will come out....

I also would get a Honda Fit EV...the LEAF is just bigger and not as exciting as I would like...now if Nissan made the Altima coupe an EV I would get one ASAP.


Basically I want a small commuter EV...the LEAF just was too late and lost my interest....

Whichever I can get first...fiat 500 EV, Volvo C30 EV or Homda Fit EV...that is what will be my next car...

Sadly New Mexico is usually about last for EV cars...
