Electric Pride- Show It Off!
« on: June 17, 2012, 04:05:37 PM »
Monday is ride to work day, let's hope a lot of riders follow along. In the spirit of all things motorcycle, more specifically to this forum, all things electric motorcycle, lets list make this post about personal electric motorcycle stories, photos and just all around love of electric motorcycles. List some reasons why you love these amazing machines, put up some good pics and make sure you ride to work Monday!

I think the absolute coolest thing about electric motorcycles are the fact that you can blast around on one silent as a wraith and practically spend no money whole doing so!

Every day is ride to work day!

I'll go around and do a headcount for bikes.. we can usually nearly fill the bike parking spaces on a nice day.

Unfortunately, this is the first day in weeks that I haven't ridden to work.  My daughter goes to day camp for about 4 weeks this summer, and, although I could give her a ride on the bike of my bike IF it were a two-seater and IF my wife were someone other than who she is (adamantly opposed to motorcycles), I am resigned to being a cager during this time.  :-\

Only one other bike in the parking lot for our building this morning. Guess they didn't get the memo.

Edit: 14 total bikes in the entire complex, maybe a couple thousand people.

I rode my Enertia Classic to work today.

I really like that the pollution is virtually zero. When I accelerate, it is smooth and it feels like you are being pulled forward. It is quiet enough to ride through the suburbs without making much noise. If I ride enough miles, my operating costs will essentially break even with a gas motorcycle over a period of time.

The sound of the electric motor is different and somewhat sci-fi like. It sounds like you are going faster than you really are.

Here is a picture from where I parked today:

and here is closer look at the sticker I added:
