Amber Composites features on Brammo
« on: September 05, 2012, 11:36:26 AM »
Just found this:
http://www.ambercomposites.com/brammo-case-study

Quote
"With Amber Composites prepreg, we were able to shave 30% off the weight of the assembly versus the previous design," said Brian Wismann, Director of Product Development at Brammo, "As an added bonus, the surface finish was so straight out of the mold that we didn't have to clear or paint it, saving further weight."

This page was from the 2011 racing season, but Amber is still a partner with Brammo - they are featured prominently on the Empulse RR livery.

Looks like Brammo and Amber go way back: http://www.ambercomposites.com/the-brammo-enertia-case-study

That's the ol' Enertia prototype. (Love those wire wheels. :) )
The Brammoforum Wiki is still active: http://www.brammoforum.com/wiki

I wonder if they're responsible for the carbon fiber farkles on the Empulse R.
