Mission Motors Say Whaa?
« on: May 07, 2013, 06:12:10 PM »
Check it out: http://www.mission-motorcycles.com/

The most advanced production motorcycle in existence
The highest performing street-legal electric vehicle ever made

June 3, 2013

Those are some pretty bold (and vague) claims... guess they decided to bring the Mission R to production... apparently.

Will they have a cheaper non-R version?    ;)

Jensen @ Asphalt & Rubber has this to say:
Quote
It seems we won’t know everything about the new Mission Motorcycles project until June 1st, though we can speculate pretty accurately on what the A&R Bothan spy network has been telling us. Expect to see the Mission R electric superbike in street legal trim, honed even further than when we rode the machine back in August last year.
In addition to the Mission R, expect to see other models in the company’s line-up, as well as additional trim levels for would-be owners. Yeah, that got our attention too, and should make Mission Motorcycles more palatable to dealers looking for a little EV on their showroom floors.

Will see what comes to pass.

Oh you know they're only doing this to make me look bad.  ;D  If Tommy Hayden and Ben Bostrom show up to Laguna straddling Mission R race bikes, I'm gonna %$%* bricks.  :o

Why is there no mention on the main Mission site (ridemission.com)?

The domain registration for the teaser domain is anonymous via Dreamhost just like the ridemission.com domain.  About the only information that might mean anything is that it was registered in January 2009 and good until next January, the same as the ridemission domain, but a week apart so it sounds like the domain was probably registered when they were coming up with a brand...
