Suzuki electric Monkey bike concept

The Japanese manufacturers continue to (apparently) be scared stiff about entering the electric motorcycle market.  The best Suzuki can do is design an electric "monkey" bike as a concept vehicle for the Japanese Motorcycle show.  :o   See a photo here:

I think you assessment a few years ago (if memory serves) that they will be too busy catering to the Asian markets has held very true.  Was it last year or the year before that Honda released that RC-E scooter with a badass chassis thing right before EICMA, as a promotion for the Tokyo tradeshow?  Me thinks skulduggery is afoot, and it's Suzuki's turn.
