Enertia Plus Review?
« on: June 20, 2014, 06:56:15 AM »
Does anyone know of any full, in depth reviews of the Enertia Plus? Video or article don't matter. Is it me or since the production Empulse came out, understandably, the Enertia has taken a back seat. I have and always will love the look of the Enertia, I personally think it is a gorgeous looking bike in it's simplicity. Just curious about any good reviews. Thanks.

Gavin wrote pretty extensively about the Enertia Plus on his blog:

You and me, brother.
I love the look of my Enertia and can always count on folks giving me thumbs-ups or complimenting me on it.

IMO all Brammo needs to do is update the Enertria Plus tech when it makes sense, just like they did from the "Classic" to the Plus. I love the styling, to me it is classic and will never be out of style. Simple updates to the batteries and/or motor over the years along with minor aesthetic changes once in a while. Once they get an Enertia that can do 100 range/100mph I am as good as sold!

I only want a faster charger (2 or 2,5 KW) and an option to switch the lights off while charging ...

My Empulse does that too, and I would also love to be able to turn that off.

Not to  be too much of a contrarian, but wouldn't it be great if all EV's turned on their tail lights while charging and turned them off when done? That way, you'd easily identify whose vehicle to unplug as you sneak your bike alongside to grab some electrons.

It would be better if some other lights turned on while charging. I'd like to have glowing indicators or something else that says "charging" instead of "this idiot left his lights on".
Nearly every colleague and neighbor has come up to me to warn me that I left my lights on, while my bike was charging.

I noticed an EU in the dash while the bike boots up and displays the firmware version.
On studio photos it says US.

So it seems that Brammo is maintaining 2 software streams. Maybe they can update the EU version to charge with only the dash activated and not the lights?

I mean the dash has all the info anyway and on the Empulse it has the amber/green charging indicator too. (maybe also on the Enertia?)
