Cycle World reviews the Victory Empulse TT

There is a two-page review of the 2016 Victory Empulse TT on page 18 of the November issue of Cycle World magazine. The author, Mark Hoyer, makes a few interesting comments, including: Production is currently at the Brammo factory in Oregon, but will be moved to a Victory factory in the Midwest "later". The biggest functional improvement is easier handling due to the narrower rear tire.  The seat is "much improved over the very poor Brammo piece". Acceleration is not quite up to Suzuki SV650 performance. Expected range is 50 miles in "normal suburban riding". "The gearbox, clutch, and chain final drive didn't make sense before and still don't.  It makes the bike noisier than it needs to be, adds significant driveline lash, and complicates the riding experience for no real benefit." "The faster I went around High Plains Raceway, the more it showed that the suspension is unchanged from Brammo spec in the general lack of damping control."  "We are far more interested to see the next electric motorcycle from Victory."

I won't repeat how  Mark Hoyer characterized the Empulse TT's "supposed" customer.

In the following article on page 22, Mark Hoyer also reviews the IOM Victory Electric Superbike and includes some very positive comments, including that the bike was run at a dragstrip by Lee Johnston who was able to click off a mid-10 second run at 140 mph at the end of the quarter mile.  Mark Hoyer says: "Not bad for an EV with one gear."
