Interview with Argonne's Jeff Chamberlain

This is probably one of the simplest but most to the point interviews I've seen on battery technology.

But the real question is would a bomb dog smell bomb material in a clean room, or would the air be too clean?

FWIW, Argonne and 3M each created the "NMC" chemistry which is becoming the go-to tech for EV batteries. I'm pretty sure Brammo uses the 3M stuff since Argonne hasn't licenses their tech to any Chinese companies, but pretty much every auto manufacturer is using Argonne's tech (save Tesla, who is using a relatively old, but more energy dense and more volatile chemistry). However, there is a really big legal battle bubbling up between the two NMC parents since one of Argonne's licensees is complaining there are companies importing Argonne technology claiming they have the right since they have a license from 3M.
