Valence battery disassembled
« on: June 11, 2018, 11:51:25 AM »
Interesting instructions for Valence battery service:

Brammo Enertia has another type (U1-12XP), but I think it will look very similar inside the battery.

I decided to look inside the Valence U1-12XP battery and I shot it all.
The procedure is as follows:
1) Insert the large screwdriver into the joint under the battery cover at all corners of the battery and release the battery cover

9) colored cables lead to individual battery cells, we can measure their voltage (black cable is ground)
to be continued...

Hey KaFr,

these are nice pictures and descriptions!

Was the battery pack damaged? Did you see some kind of corrosion inside, especially between the 18650 cells?

Greetings
Robert

Hello Columbo,

thanks, maybe it will help someone with the same problem.

The battery pack has not yet been able to get me out of the plastic packaging.
I'm going to do it when I have more time.

The only thing I know about the battery is that there's such a strange chemical smell on the inside.

See you later

My friend has already disassembled the battery completely. There were several corroded cells inside. I'll add photos later. Battery cells can be completely replaced with new ones or replaced with another type.

That would be a great service to be able to replace and upgrade the inner cells
