Damon Motorcycles Hyperpro Sport

While I can't get too excited by the name of this EV, nor the riding position, I do like the design. But it seems to be more of a technology demonstrator than an attempt to produce an actual production motorcycle and I am not too sure if I want my motorcycle to communicate with everything in the vicinity, such as garage doors, washing machines and refrigerator ice makers.   :o

One other thing that caught my eye was this comment at the end of the article:  To ensure high performance dominance, the company recently added electric powertrain veteran Derek Dorresteyn to its team to head up operations and powertrain development as its new COO. Derek had the technical vision and led the engineering and manufacturing teams at Alta Motors from 2008 – 2018. His vision was key to Alta’s podium finishes against ICE motorcycles.   There were some smart people at Alta Motors and it is interesting to see where they are ending up.

They released the specs for the bike pretty impressive rivals the Energica.  Would like to ride one the variable ergoes sounds interesting to me.  But 200mph and 200 miles range not bad.

I continue to believe that the specifications and performance of that motorcycle are more than Damon is going to be able to deliver to customers.  I really doubt that you will see this motorcycle in the consumer market any time soon. In my opinion this is just another technology demonstrator trolling for investors.   ::)

I might also add that the claimed battery capacity is about the same as the 2020 Energica models, which do not have anything like a 200 mile range, much less a 200 mph top speed.  And those updated bikes actually exist and will be arriving in the U.S. soon at not much over $20K.   :)

As a consumer, I find this new model more interesting:  https://electricmotorcycles.news/niu-introduces-two-new-electric-vehicles-at-ces-2020/

Some lofty claims if and when it comes into production should be interesting to see if it's true.  Its like having two bikes in one.  Seems like less vaporware than the Lightning Strike
